The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary is seeking applications for aLimited Term Nursing Instructor .
Key elements of the position include course development and teaching related to anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and biochemistry within the undergraduate program. In addition to subject matter expertise, we are seeking applicants with experience in face-to-face and online course design and delivery. The contract may range from a minimum of 12 months to approximately 2 years in duration. Limited term instructors are provided with exceptional orientation, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
The faculty expectation for this role is: 80% teaching, 10% scholarship, and 10% service. The scholarship component of this role is related to the application of research and professional development to teaching and learning. Service commitments include course, term, team, and faculty meetings related to relevant courses within assigned teaching or governance of the faculty, as well as participation in ad hoc working groups or as an elected representative on faculty committees. Preference will be given to internal candidates currently holding sessional appointments within the university. The appointment will preferably commence on July 1, 2021.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Biochemistry/Microbiology/Physiology or a related discipline.
